Welcome to Locks Heath Gymnastics Club

GYMTOTS SESSIONS

Designed to encourage early years children to be active and learn that physical exercise can be fun and enjoyable.   Through structured activities children learn to manage their bodies and to develop the essential basic movement skills and confidence they will need to participate in physical activity and sport.

The programme will:

  • Develop Balance, Strength, endurance, agility and power
  • Promote Coordination and Spatial awareness using special hand apparatus and specialized equipment
  • Encourage Confidence, Social and Interaction awareness
  • Promote Problem Solving and Listening skills
  • Develop Intellectual awareness
  • Encourage Movement exploration on equipment and floor
  • Enhance Linguistic skills using music, rhythms, tempos and sound

Sessions are organised into two. Child and adult and Independent child groups.

Child and Adult group: Sessions are suitable for children from walking to Independent age. Designed so that the child and adult experience activities together with the opportunity to explore and develop the child’s basic physical and social skills, whilst having FUN.

Monday 9.30am – 10.10am
Tuesday 9.30am - 10.10am and 11.20am – 12pm
Friday 9.30am – 10.10am and 11.20 am – 12pm

Meadowside Centre, Whiteley

Wednesday 10.25am – 11.05am
Thursday 9.30 am. – 10.10am and 10.25am – 11.05 am

Independent Child group: Sessions are suitable for children who are ready to work independently from their parents/carer. Interaction and social skills are encouraged, whilst developing their full physical potential in a challenging and fun environment.
